The Business of Caring for Children

By August 14, 2012April 14th, 2022No Comments

If you are a parent, you know that taking care of a child is a full time job. However, what if you decide to watch out for more than one child? If you have aspirations of starting a day care center, then there are some important steps to take before opening your doors. First of all, you should become qualified to care for multiple infants, toddlers, and perhaps young teens. Then, you should establish protective measures, such as insurance, security cameras, and smoke detectors, to make sure everyone’s safety is accounted for in case of an accident. Then, you can begin the process of establishing your name in the community and bringing in applications.

You may want to follow suit with a child care center that is preparing to open in the local area. Honey Bee Academy, a 40-child capacity daycare center in Dexter, plans to open during the first week of September. The 2,100-square-foot building with a playground in the backyard is located on Dexter Pinckney Road. The center is now accepting new enrollment for all-day care for young children and for before and after school care. Honey Bee is the replacement to For Kid’s Sake Early Learning Center, which shut its doors last year.

Taking the steps necessary to open your business is important to its future success. Making sure your employees and the children are safe from harm is top priority. At Ron Jackson Insurance Agency, we encourage you to establish an emergency plan in case of an accident or injury. This can help you prevent further damages as well as keep everyone out of harm’s way.
