The extra attention devoted to seeking out drunk drivers can be blamed on St. Patrick’s Day, Spring break and NCAA tournaments, according to The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning.

In 2012, Michigan law enforcement officers were able to get 2,500 drunk drivers off the road during the same time period. The best advice? Designate. Designate. Designate.
