As a veteran employee of Ron Jackson Insurance Agency, I never thought I’d see the day when our fearless leader, Mark Jackson, would allow us to wear jeans on Fridays. When his sister Jennifer, an avid lover of denim, started back at the agency full time, she worked tirelessly to institute a “wear your jeans on Friday” policy. Though Mark never steps foot into the agency in a pair of blue jeans, the rest of us cheered with joy when the denim friendly policy was put into place.
Just last week employees started donating $2 each week to wear jeans on Fridays. We have Charity the Flying Angel Pig, our piggy bank, collecting money in both of our offices. The goal is to raise money for a family in need for Christmas, identified by our good friends and customer Open Doors Kalamazoo. Here’s the best part; pay $3 more and you can bring your dog to work too! Now this came as an utter shock to all employees. Bring your dog to work, wear jeans and raise money for a wonderful cause?! All of us dog lovers decided this was a brilliant idea. Mark may end up eating his words, depending on how our furry friends behave. The cause is well worth a few barks!
We are all thrilled that for $5 we can wear jeans and bring our dogs!!!!!!! PLUS our contributions will be used to brighten a family’s Christmas.
